I have learned that what I saw the guy doing on my way back from class is formally known as "slacklining" because unlike a tightrope, it can bounce. After some googling, I found info about this insane guy named Christian Schou who crossed a Norewgian ford equivalent to the height of three Eiffel Towers, on a slackline. Just a wee bit more extreme than what those guys I saw were doing. CRAZY, But also quite cool. I could consider doing something like that if I was harnessed in, but this guy has no harness from what I can tell. One slip, and sploosh, into the ocean thousands of feet below = instant death. Eeek.

Slacklining
